Founded by Juan Manuel Colunga, alongside Sandra Colunga and Ericka Landeros, La Cocina brings the flavors of Mexico City together with a deep-rooted family experience centered around food, connection, and community.

“La Cocina” means the kitchen, and for us, that’s where everything started. It represents more than just a place where food is made, it’s where our family comes together. Growing up, the kitchen was always the center of everything, cooking, talking, laughing, and spending time with each other.

That same energy lives in everything we do today.

La Cocina is a direct reflection of our roots. Born and raised in Mexico City, our background is the foundation of everything we serve, real flavors, real ingredients, and real intention behind every dish.

With over 30 years of living a vegetarian and health-conscious lifestyle, we’ve built our kitchen around the same standards we hold at home. We focus on fresh, clean ingredients and take pride in doing things the right way, no canned products, no microwaves, just food made fresh every single day.

Our inspiration comes from the way our family has always gathered around food. From our mom to our aunt, cooking has been a lifelong passion, not built on tradition alone, but on the intention behind every meal. While the recipes may not have been passed down in the traditional sense, the heart behind them has always remained the same.

Everything we serve is made fresh, the way we would cook for our own family, like a reunion around the table where everyone is welcome.

Since opening our doors on September 10, 2024, our goal has been simple, serve real food, create real moments, and give our community a place that feels like home.
